When it arrived via UPS on Monday, this is what I got.

Apparently the “i” in iPhone stands for “invisible”.

I have been on the phone with UPS and AT&T for the past two days. I’d hope to have some resolution by tomorrow. (And by “resolution” I mean having a freekin’ iPhone in my hands.)

Last night was the swim team awards ceremony/pool party. Both girls won something aside from a trophy, Woo Hoo! It was a a loooong evening.

Afterwards I had a photo shoot with the ever lovely Esmerelda. She liked 5 out of the 80 images, I liked more, but I am way less critical of her appearance. I’d love to shoot her again, but maybe after a shot of tequila so che can relax a bit more, and make it more “fun” than “work”.

Needless to say I have taken a pass on the WWC this week. I had some ideas, but never got around to shooting anything. I’ll be back next week.

But this is Vacation Part II: Where the girls are at grandma’s house for a week! And BONUS My lovely wife is leaving on Thursday to hang with her girlfriends in Ohio, then picking the girls up, which gives me three days ALL TO MYSELF! (That will be Vacation Part III ;)

We had a blast at the beach. It was very relaxing and we had loads of fun. I will miss that place, and the ability to sleep in every day, but hey, work has its benefits too. We (Lovely Wife, my BIL and SIL and I) went out a couple times and hit up the local bars. One time we had dinner out first and had to sneak the car back (so the kids wouldn’t catch us) before heading out to the bar. We got busted.

Enjoy some pictures from the trip. It is good to be home, but I am looking forward to next year!

For all of you mothers who I failed to acknowledge yesterday, Happy Mother’s Day!!!

I honored my wife by grilling burgers, putting away laundry, making the bed and with a card. I also took her, my other favorite mother (Esmerelda) and her mom out to dinner. It was a very nice day. The kids sang in church, and our girls promised to help in a number of areas so that mommy could have a nice relaxing day.

Saturday I spent the morning with my younger son at his Young Marine encampment at a local National Guard post. While I was there they did the leadership training course (a set of 8 obstacles to overcome with limited resources). It was pretty cool to watch the young men and women overcome and accomplish these tasks.

For the record, I am in a really good mood today, must be all the extra attention my lovely wife is giving me these days :)

Happy hump day!! Plus today is Gary’s Birthday, so you should stop over there and say Hi. Also Congrats to the lovely Jen over at Texaconsindiva for completing her first marathon.

EDIT:

Prayers for Mr. Don (the acupuncturist) who suffered a stroke today. His condition is unknown to me at this time, but he is being treated at the hospital. He is a man full of life and energy which he generously shares with others. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his wife and grown children.
